Psy’s “Gangnam Style” stays #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100

Psy stays his place at No.2 on this week’s Billboard’s Hot 100.

According to Billboard’s latest rankings released on October 4th, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” unfortunately did not beat Maroon 5 this week for the number 1 spot on the U.S. Bllboard Main Single Chart ‘HOT 100’.

Billboard stated, “The race was extremely close. ‘Night’ bests ‘Style’ by fewer than 500 overall chart points, after ‘Night’ won last week by approximately 3,000 points”, adding that key to Maroon 5 maintaining its lead is due to radio airplay.

The website added, “The greatest victory for ‘Style’ over ‘Night’ bests ‘Style’ by fewer than 500 overall chart points, after ‘Night’ won last week by approximate this week is in digital sales. Despite a 2% decline to 294,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, ‘Style’, which dips 1-2 on the Digital Songs chart, outranks “Night,” which drops 2-4 with a 12% decrease to 181,000.”

Meanwhile, Psy, who had pledged to dance topless in front of a massive number of crowd if the hit single tops the chart, recently stated, “No matter what the result is, I’ll keep my pledge, because it’s still a precious achievement.”
