Women Mag-Josei Jishin-July 24, 2012
The trial circulating around the problem of Tohoshinki’s exclusive contract of JYJ confronting SM Ent. The result of the trial was planned to be announced on July 19th at 10am by Seoul Court, but it is understand that they are heading for settlement again since both sides will be appearing for arbitration.
Korean’s Newspaper “Chosun Daily” on the 19TH reported that Yunho (26) and Changmin (24) of Tohoshinki and Jaejoong (26), Junsu (25) and Yoochun (26) of JYJ will be heading for the settlement table.
The three of JYJ sued their previous company, SME on July of 2009. Despite the lawsuit engagement that tainted their reputation that continued for 3 years, maybe they will finally answer the fans wish whom had expected a reunion.
This is the opinion of a Korean lawyer who’s working in Japan, Park In Don.
“When you don’t stand a chance in the court settlement, both of the parties will go for arbitration and discuss. At that time, if they could come to an agreement, there will be a settlement. This time, we could say that “towards a reunion” means both parties could compromise. I think it also a monetary solution strategy.
But…what’s the reason for a reunion at this time?
“The motive is that both parties are already tired of the trial. Tohoshinki and JYJ do not want to prolong the controversy as they don’t want to ruin their image. The one who aimed for an early settlement, but it continued to trial and being restricted from doing their activities in both South Korea and Japan, it should be JYJ
(Korean music authorized person)
Up until now, 6 arbitrations had been rejected. Will the arbitration this time go smoothly and give way for a settlement?
“Even if JYJ received strict conditions, it seems that they’ve decided that “We want to settle this time.” If they could come to settlement conclusion, I think they should be able to stand together as 5 on stage in a music program. As for the Korean music broadcaster side, they are certainly hoping for both groups to appear together…
