SKULL & HAHA 1st Singapore Fan Meet details

Singapore, 13 July 2013 – Korean reggae artistes Skull and Haha will be in Singapore for the first time on July 20 to meet fans up close and personal. The duo just released their latest single, ‘Ragga Muffin’, on June 27 and will be staging full concerts in Korea in August. Their showcase in Singapore will give audience a taste of their dynamic live performance as Korea’s top reggae artistes. The German-born South Korean, Haha (a.k.a Haroro) is a multi-hypenate talent, wearing the hats of recording artist, actor, presenter and stand-up comedian with ease.

In 2007, he released his single album ‘You’re My Destiny.’ The single reached number one on the Gaon Chart, South Korea’s national record chart, similar to the US Billboard charts.

Since 2010, Haha has been one of the main cast members of the immensely popular variety show ‘Running Man’. He was lauded with the "Best Entertainer Award" at the 2011 SBS Entertainment Awards for his outstanding performance on ‘Running Man.’ He wowed the audience with the performance of his single, ‘Rosa’, at the award ceremony.

Most recently, Haha is one of the faces of this summer’s COKE’s campaign that launched in Korea recently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTLpyGf3cFY, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1SMv9W74U8. He was also host for NIKE She Runs Seoul marathon and performed with Skull as a duo at the event. In addition, Haha was in PSY’s latest “Mother Father Gentlemen” music video, playing three different characters.

Haha also acted in the following movies and dramas:
 Holy Daddy (2006)
 Who Slept with Her?
 My Boss, My Teacher (2006)
 Love in Magic (2005)

Haha’s musical partner, Skull, is a culture-fusing phenomenon. The South Korean has been making waves in the US market, especially among Urban and Caribbean audiences, by singing in own unique interpretation of a Jamaican patois. The release of his first single, ‘Boom Di Boom Di’ and accompanying 3-D animated video were well-received in the US. In the US, Skull is signed under Morgan Carey, Mariah Carey’s brother. His new single will be released August 14th and promises to be an intriguing aural journey, with renowned DJ and honorary Beastie Boys member, Mix Master Mike lending a hand in its production.

Skull has declared his commitment to Environmental and Social activism and is determined to leave his footprint on Mother Earth by using Pop Culture and music as means towards that end. Skull wrote “Don’t Walk Away” as a tribute to victims of tsunami and an English number “Cry Die” as an attack on the scourge of chemtrails.

The two musicians first collaborated last summer in the album ‘Busan Vacance’. Since then, they have been performing and making public appearance together as a duo.

Making a guest appearance for Skull & Haha’s first overseas fan meeting is DJ IT (Lee Kwang Seuk) who has a wealth of experience working with heavy weights in the Korean music industry, including Lee Hyori, YG Family, RAIN, Big Bang, DJ DOC, Dynamic Duo, and many others.
