2NE1 talks about ‘5-year jinx’ of idol groups
2NE1 recently talked about ‘5-year jinx’ surrounds this industry with idol groups not being able to last more than five years.
The group appeared as guests on the July 17th installment of YTN’s ‘Ho Jun Suk's News In’. During the show, anchor Ho Jung Seok said, “Many groups tend to break up after 5 years”. Leader CL explained, “It seems that ‘5-year jinx’ was brought up because of management contracts dates.”
When asked about 2NE1’s contract term, CL responded, “I cannot tell my contract expiration date, but we still have time left. I think we'll be together for a long time.”
