SISTAR’s Hyorin and Soyu volunteer in Liberia
It has been revealed that SISTAR’s Hyorin and Soyu recently spent their free time by doing charity work for a in Liberia for eight days and seven nights starting from March 31.
Hyorin and Soyu joined SBS’ ‘Hope TV’ and Miral Welfare Foundation, and went on a volunteer trip to a gravel quarry village in Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia. The two kind-hearted idols worked with one family who survives the hard labor and eats only one meal per day by gathering the gravels.
In order to help the children of the village who have to work all day, the two SISTAR members helped them gather the rocks and transport them in bags. Soyu said, “I want the children here to be able to enjoy their childhood.” Hyorin added, “I want to find a way to spread the reality in Liberia to Korea and how one can help out.”
