Universal Music Group’s K-Pop group to debut this year

Universal Music Group, one the largest music corporations in the world, will launch its first K-Pop group project in the local market in the first half of this year.

Recently MBC’s ‘News Desk’ featured the label and their new boy group called ‘Boys Republic’ under the Korean branch, Universal Korea. It’s been made known that the members have been training for about two years.

For this special project, Universal Korea recruited the help of one of Korea’s top producer and composer Park Geun Tae, and Europe’s best composing team Dsign Music, who worked on Girls’ Generation’s “Genie”.

A representative stated, “The team has received two years of training for acting and learning customs of many countries as well as singing and dancing to become a global idol group.”
