CNBLUE’s Yonghwa worries people think he makes music for money

On the latest episode of tvN’s ‘Taxi’, CNBLUE’s Yonghwa, who is becoming recognized as a singer-songwriter, revealed why he doesn’t talk about royalty earnings on air.

During the episode, Yonghwa shared, “I wrote the title track of our latest album, and it topped in a music show a few days ago. It was the best number one that I’ve ever got.”

Then MCs Jun Hyun Moo and Kim Gu Ra asked, “How much did you earn in royalties? How many songs have you composed?” Yonghwa tried his best to avoid the questions, and replied, “I haven’t counted yet.”

He then explained, “I’m afraid of people thinking that I do music for money.” Jun Hyun Moo consoled him and stated, “It’s a reward for your hard work.”
