MBC’s ‘I Miss You’ has received the highest marks in the drama category of the ‘Program Engagement Index (PEI)’ charts, which measures the viewers’ level of engagement with TV programs.
On the 11th, the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) stated that the PEI of ‘I Miss You’ in December was 132.1, making it the most engaged of broadcast dramas from KBS 2TV, MBC and SBS.
Though ‘I Miss You’ had the highest PEI in the drama category, it ranked fourth in the overall rankings.
The program with the highest PEI was MBC’s variety show ‘Infinite Challenge’ (147.8). ‘Infinite Challenge – Special’ (139.5) came in second and it was found that ‘Infinite Challenge’ has been topping the PEI rankings for its fifth consecutive month.
PEI is an indicator of how much viewers engage in broadcast programs. Any statistic over 100 indicates above average engagement, and any statistic under 100 indicates below average engagement.
KOBACO calculates its PEI index by holding an online survey with 13,791 people from the ages of 13 to 59 the day after the program in question airs.
SBS’ ‘We Want To Know’ came in at third place with an index of 136.7 while KBS 2TV’s pilot program ‘Music’s Participation’ came in at fifth with an index of 131.7.
KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert Rerun’ and the MBC drama ‘Ma-ui’ (130.5), SBS’ ‘SBS Special’ (129.6), SBS’ drama ‘Cheongdam-dong Alice’ (128.7) and MBC’s ‘Our Sunday Night – I Am A Singer 2′ (128.2) ranked sixth to tenth on the charts.
