JYJ and SM Entertainment’s legal battle finally ends
JYJ and SM Entertainment’s three-year long legal battle has finally come to an end with a mutual agreement.
According to several reports on November 28th, SM Entertainment and JYJ have resolved the contract dispute, with both sides agreeing not to interfere in each other’s matters in their future activities.
The lawsuit begun when JYJ, who are former members of TVXQ, decided to take their label SM Entertainment to court regarding unfair contract agreements back in July 31st, 2009. Both sides continued to clash with each other as there was no mutual agreement that could be established.
A representative from SM Entertainment stated, “The three members of JYJ no longer wanted to be part of TVXQ as there is no reason to be under the management of SM Entertainment. So, we have concluded that we will not be further involved with them.”
He continued, “To avoid bringing additional harm to TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin, the judge decided that it was best to end this trial.”
As it comes to an end, the public is paying attention to whether JYJ will be able to appear again in the three major channels.
