Breaking away from their fresh sprout-dol image, group B1A4 who returned with more mature image revealed their comeback thoughts.
B1A4, who we met on November 23rd at the KBS New Wing Open Hall looked slightly tired, perhaps from preparing for their concert which is around the corner. They released their 3rd mini album "Tried to Walk" on November 12th and stood in front of their fans again after a long time.
When we asked their thoughts about their comeback after being away for some time, leader Jinyoung replied "I think our fans were looking forward for long time because they cheered a lot for us" "I could see that they were waiting for us with my eyes so I was very thankful. I could only think of working harder from now."
He continued "I'm happy whenever we accomplish the things that we've thought about one by one. I think of improving more in the future and present albums with more higher degree of completion", expressing his intentions.
This album focused on delivering B1A4's mature image. They were loved by their cute and fresh looks but at the same time they were stereotyped as "group pushing with their visuals". The members made more various attempts through this album compared to others. Choosing suits instead of colorful and loud clothes itself was a surprising change. However Baro explained, "No matter how neat clothes we wear, we still have a point in our clothes."
CNU earnestly replied, "Even though we show different colors from our previous cute image it doesn't mean that B1A4's own colors are removed. When we were discussing, we all agreed on changing our appearance while keeping our own colors. Even in the future, I think we have more various appearances to be brought out from our own colors."
Perhaps because they threw away their cute image for more mature appearance, they gained more elder female fans. Members said "Many of our fans couldn't attend because they had to go to school in the morning but we see many fans these days" and continued "We always try hard to be friendlier because we are really grateful."
With increasing fans, they are an unusual rookie group who have settled and can now hold their solo concert just after a year and 6 months since their debut, however, their good manner stays unchanged. This is one of the parts which staffs always give high points for B1A4. To this Jinyoung replied "Among the things we talked about before it was "Let's not lose our original intentions even if we succeed. Maybe we were thinking way ahead but we tried hard to become a polite group. Thank you for looking at us nicely" and bowed his head.
Lastly the members added "We think we would be actively promoting till the year end. We might have Christmas and year end schedules." They also revealed their determination, "Our original aim was to win the rookie award but we still haven't got the opportunity. We can't evaluate how much we've accomplished our goals by ourselves but we will prepare hard for our concert and promote actively."
Meanwhile B1A4's new song "Tried to Walk" is an impressive emotional pop dance track that has exquisitely mixed sounds of acoustic and electric guitars with emotional vocals and rapping together with strong drum beat. Composed by leader Jinyoung and written by Jinyoung and Baro, adding more unique charms of B1A4.
