‘The Thieves’ becomes the most watched Korean film
The 2012’s hit movie ‘The Thieves’ has become the most watched Korean movie of all-time.
The distributor of the film, ShowBox Mediaplex, announced that ‘The Thieves’ has recorded 13,020,393 admissions, breaking the previous record of ‘The Host’ set in 2006, with 13,019,740 admissions in 106 days. ‘The Thieves’ broke the record only in 70 days.
It is said that ‘The Thieves’ has a great chance of breaking the all-time record of 13.3 million admissions set by international film ‘Avatar’.
Meanwhile, ‘The Thieves’ was recently introduced during Toronto International Film Festival, and it will be introduced during the 7th London Korean Film Festival and the 7th Paris Korean Film Festival. Furthermore, it will be released in America and Canada on October 12th.
