Psy thanks Billboard saying his feat made history in Korea

Psy expressed gratitude and excitement on being able to rewrite Korean music history during a recent interview with Billboard Magazine.

He said, “The records that I make on the Billboard charts becomes history in my homeland Korea. I would like to thank Billboard” during a backstage interview with Billboard Magazine during the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 21st.

When asked what he felt about the music video of “Gangnam Style” become the most “liked” video on Youtube according to the Guinness World Records, Psy said, “It’s unbelievable” adding “the song ranked 11th on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Every record I set becomes music history in Korea so many fans are enjoying this moment”. He also added thanks to Billboard.

Psy had great praises for his U.S. manager Scooter Braun saying he’s a very creative person and he always strives hard to “paint a picture”. He said teaching Britney Spears how to do the horse riding dance on the Ellen show was Scooter’s idea, saying he wanted to “paint a picture” after seeing Britney Tweet that she wanted to learn the dance. Psy added that Scooter always creates unexpected and fun things.

Also during the interview, Psy talked about his dreams of holding a solo concert in the U.S. soon. He said, “I’ve done large-scale concerts in Korea,” saying he wanted to showcase a performance that he organized in the U.S. very soon.
