[NEWS] Kim Yuna to retire after Sochi Olympics

Speculation has been running rampant as to what's next for the reigning queen of figure skating, Kim Yuna.

Kim Yuna ended that speculation on Monday with an announcement that she will enter the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia and retire afterward.

The 21-year-old admitted that she felt unmotivated after winning the gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. But Kim said she found an unlikely source of inspiration from younger skaters training in Seoul during her extended break from competition.

This is of course, welcome news for true-blue fans of the ice-queen. As for those who got to know her as a multi-talented celebrity rather than an athlete, they’re in for a treat, as they’ll get to see her put on her game face.
