Kim Jun-su’s New York concert venue has been revealed: The Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan.
The K-pop star will kick off his world tour at the two-tiered, 12,000-square-foot theater that seats up to 2,500 audience members.
According to Kim’s agency, the fact that Kim was able to secure the venue is a “big deal” as stars like P. Diddy and Nicki Minaj have performed there.
Kim also performed there as part of JYJ back in 2010.
CJeS Entertainment announced yesterday that after his New York gig on Aug. 30, Kim will make his way to Los Angeles on Sept. 2, Mexico City on Sept. 6 and Brazil on Sept. 8 before heading to Chile on Sept. 19.
Kim’s concert in Los Angeles will also be at a large-scale venue, the Hollywood Palladium, which has housed concerts by Justin Bieber and Jay-Z.
After his tour of the Americas, Kim will make his way to Europe.
Kim is currently carrying on with the Asian leg of his tour, which will come to an end on Aug. 7 in Hong Kong just before he makes way to New York.
