2NE1 is just set to make a comeback, but to their fans’ dissapointment, 2NE1 will not be appearing on variety shows.
With 2NE1 releasing teasers from left to right for their upcoming comeback after a year of hiatus, YG Entertainment‘s representative confirmed with OSEN that even if the girls are making a comeback, they’ll fully focus on music programs and performing rather than adding variety shows to their schedules.
With their new single ”I Love You’‘ its release soon, many anticipated that maybe there would be a slight chance of them appearing on variety shows just like how fellow labelmates Big Bang did during their comeback.
”2NE1 is going to be very busy during this comeback with preparations for their comeback, plus ”New Evolution” tour. If variety shows would be added to their schedules it might be a little too much for the girls plus 2NE1 are very shy when it comes to variety shows.”
Since debut 2NE1 has been appearing on their own show ”2NE1 tv” where they showed their real sides which many fans loved alot. ”It’s true that 2NE1 we’re being themselves on ”2NE1 tv” and because of that fans might think they would be good on variety shows, but the 2NE1 girls revealed themselves that variety shows are much more different and difficult then ”2NE1tv”. While 2NE1 tv is all focused on reality, variety shows aren’t as much as focused on that.”
The 2NE1 ladies have been practicing alot for their upcoming promotions as well as world tour that YG decided not to fix any variety program appearances.
2NE1′s Dara shared her thoughts with Osen on the variety appearances with ”On stage we’re fierce and all, and on 2NE1tv we’re kind of ourselves but in contrast we’re actually very shy and keep hiding in a shell. It would be a little too much if we did go on variety shows”.
Fellow member Bom also joined in with ”Variety Shows/Talking Programs are a little burdensome with scripts and all. But if there’s a variety show without scripts it would be actually very fun to participate in” she smiled widely showing her cute/humble side.
Meanwhile in a few days 2NE1‘s new song ‘‘I Love You” is set for a release on the 5th along with a comeback stage on ”SBS Inkigayo” on the 8th.The girls are set to promote lively on music broadcasts with their activities continueing.
Plus 2NE1 is set to hold a concert on the 28th and 29th in Seoul Gymnastics Stadium marking it the start of their ”New Evolution 2012 World Tour” where they will be going to 7 countries and 10 cities.
