2PM Junho will become the ambassador for World Vision's '24 Hour Famine Experience'.
World Vision hosted a welcoming ceremony to appoint 2PM Junho as the official ambassador on 27th July in Seoul.
'24 Hour Famine Experience' is a representative program of World Vision to experience famine, diseases and effects of wars and other hardships that our global neighbours go through for a day. Even today, in every 4 seconds, 1 child dies from lack of nutrients. This campaign is held throughout 20 countries including Australia, New Zealand, America, Taiwan, Japan and Germany, in remembrance of these children in need.
2PM Junho, who has always been interested in the global hardships and sharing, felt deep empathy towards this program so he took an active role for it. Ambassador Junho will take part in not only the Korean campaign but Asia-wide campaigns whenever there is a chance. There are high hopes that 2PM's international fans will take part in this field.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Junho of World Vision '24 Hour Famine Experience' have stated that "I hope that the children I support will grow up to be bright people and they, too, become people who help others" and "I would like to deliver warmth and joy of 'sharing' as the Ambassador of this program."
A World Vision representative said that "I was deeply moved by Ambassador Junho of 2PM and give my sincere thanks for his role in World Vision despite his busy schedule" and "the 24 hours of famine experience is a valuable time for our teens to know about the sadness and global hardships of our neighbours. I wish Ambassador Junho will affect the world with positive energy of 'sharing'".
World Vision's '24 Hour Famine Experience' will be held for 24 hours from 18 August at the City Hall Square. Any inquiries of taking part can be made through World Vision's Famine Experience homepage(www.famine24.net).
