2012 K-POP Super Concert in America

The K-pop Concert that we dreamed of is finally coming to Los Angeles August 10, 2012 at 8pm at the Home Depot Center! The K-pop Super Concert is coming to LA, featuring all top-rated Korean pop stars who are currently leading the Korean Wave. (The Korean Wave [Hangul: 한류; Hanja: 韓流; RR: Hallyu] refers to the significant increase in the popularity of South Korean entertainment and culture)

This concert is the largest K-Pop concert that we have ever had in the US to date. The Home Depot Center, at which the concert is taking place, can accommodate an audience of up to twenty-seven thousand, and the concert staff is an estimated five hundred members. This is going to be a dream concert for all K-pop fans because it is a very rare chance to see 9 different charttopping K-pop idol groups, including Girls’ Generation, Shinee, 2PM, 2AM, CNBLUE, KARA, Sistar, Secret, and MBLAQ, in one setting.

The Facebook page was launched early July, 2012 http://www.facebook.com/AbsoluteKpop and already, five hundred thousand fans have been reached, with over fifteen thousand having actually visited the page to show their excitement and expectations about the concert.

Through this K-Pop Super Concert, our hopes are to bring awareness of the Korean Wave to the mass market and satisfy all existing K-pop fans who have thirsted for a mega K-pop concert of this caliber and size in the US. The K-POP Super Concert is hosted by SBS Broadcasting System Inc., JAU Entertainment Inc., and Zion Live Inc. The K-Pop Super Concert will be broadcasted on the South Korean television station, SBS, and be documented as a historical event that displays all K-Pop fans on a global scale gathering together in honor of the emerging Korean Wave.
