[NEWS] K-Pop Star Entertain Art Show Brings Together Fans and Stars

The 2012 K-Pop Star Entertain Art Show, Korea's first K-pop inspired art exhibition targeting hallyu fans in Korea and overseas, will open at KINTEX on June 23rd. Sponsored by the Korea Tourism Organization and Goyang City, the exhibition, which runs until August 19th, has been described by organizers as a mixture of K-Pop with magic art to create a new form of hallyu contents.

The pieces on display use the Trompe-L'Oeil or "trick eye" technique which turns two-dimensional pictures into 3D illusions. Visitors will be able to take pictures that really makes them look like they're standing with their favorite stars. The exhibition has three different zones; Star, Theme and Special. The Star Zone will feature over 110 pictures of top K-Pop stars such as TVXQ, Super Junior, F(x), Wonder Girls, 2PM, KARA, CNBLUE, Beast, Baek Ji-young and more, divided into different clusters.

The Special Zone will feature artworks inspired by K-pop stars created by ten famous pop artists including Marie Kim, Charles Jang, Artnom, The Jack etc. Organizers talked about a terminally ill 15-year-old girl in America who wanted to meet her favorite K-Pop stars like SHINee and Super Junior. Her story had gathered a lot of attention about K-Pop around the world and organizers added hope that the exhibition will provide a fun experience and also touch the hearts of K-pop fans in Korea and around the world.
