As an additional concert series to the yearly ‘a-nation‘ concerts, avex is also holding ‘a-nation musicweek‘ at Shibuya and Yoyogi gymnasiums in Tokyo from August 3rd to the 12th. ’a-nation musicweek’ has been created as ”a festival to celebrate different music styles“, as a prelude to the main a-nation concerts.
Throughout ‘a-nation musicweek’, a-nation will hijack Shibuya with decorated buses and a-nation flags hung on streetlights around Shibuya. They will also sell goods and collaborate with fashion, food, and amusement industries at the ”trendsetting area in Japan”.
As previously reported, 2NE1 is scheduled to appear on Day 1 (August 3rd) of ‘a-nation musicweek’. 2NE1 is NOT currently scheduled to appear at this year’s main ‘a-nation’ stadium concerts. Rather, they will join m-flo‘s Verbal for his ’OTO_Matsuri‘ concert, made up of artists that Verbal produced/helped in producing songs. Recall, that Verbal wrote the lyrics for 2NE1′s SCREAM, and 2NE1′s features on “She’s So” off m-flo’s latest album.
